You choose your own environments. Mix and match, etc. And you can also mix and match outfits, but these "costumes" (new ones usually appear each Halloween) are sort of one-piece things.
Why did the catgirl in the bathroom? I couldn't really find a background that seemed to go with the transformation...there was no saucer of milk or anything. So I figured maybe she just came out of the shower, or was preparing a shower, and was suddenly surprised? Or something.
