Halloween Play Party

Still waiting on some photos before writing about the previous weekend, so here's what happened just this last weekend instead.

To be honest, I try to avoid going to parties or events two weekends in a row. I'm somewhat the introverted type, and social gatherings (i.e. anything involving a group of people hanging out and/or doing stuff) usually leave me feeling a little worn out afterwards, as opposed to energized or whatever. But I didn't hear about about this Halloween party after I'd already RSVPed for the other party, and this one sounded to interesting to pass up.

As I mentioned previously, the party was held at a hotel in a banquet room. One part of it was filled with tables to sit and eat, and then go through a doorway and you're in another room filled with various items to tie people to.

The theme of the party was "Medical Malpractice," so most people were dressed as kinky doctors, nurses, and patients. Though one creative group of people decided to focus on that second word, and went as malpractice lawyers.

But if you're brain works similarly to mine, your first thoughts were probably "casts!" and "straight jackets!" However, not knowing anyone local who does casts, and straight jackets being expensive, I was a little stuck as to what to do. Fortunately, a recently made friend knew of a nice woman who owns a leather straight jacket and would be at the party, and asked on my behalf if I could borrow it for the evening.

And so I got to spend several hours like this:

Go ahead and make your jokes about how this costume suits me. ;-) Fittingly, I happened to run into a Dr. Harleen Quinzel at the party.

The nice thing about the straight jacket idea is it meant I didn't need to worry about whether or not I'd get a scene in to make the night worth it. Instead, I could just wander around and watch the various happenings, or sit and listen to conversations, and remain kinkily entertained the entire time. If a scene did happen, it'd be a bonus, but it wasn't a requirement for the night to feel eventful.

I didn't even think of how well the boots would go with the jacket, until one of my friends made the suggestion. Though unfortunately, you can't see the main straps very well hidden under my hair.

The difficulties of being in a straight jacket? Can't itch my nose, of course. And it took some extra effort to "swing" my hair out of the way when it would fall in my face. Plus, I would've needed to ask for some help in order to drink some water to get rehydrated or such (it gets a little warm inside a leather straight jacket).

At one point my feet were getting tired, and there weren't any chairs in the play area (and nothing going on in the eating area), so I decided to carefully sit down on the floor and lean my back against a cage not currently being used. I wasn't actually sure if I'd be able to get back up! I was certain I'd end up having to ask someone for some help (but stubbornly trying to do it myself first is half the fun ;-)), but surprisingly I was able to maneuver myself back up with not too much trouble. A few people expressed disappointment that they weren't there to watch...and to also perhaps sit me back down as soon as I was back up so they could watch me do it again, heh.

The next morning I got a humorous surprise while walking toward the lobby to get some free breakfast, discovering that the room that was BDSM Halloween party just last night was now host to a morning church service.

One Step Closer To A Freeze Ray

In a discovery that may help in developing a better treatment for people with Parkinson's, scientists have found that stimulating a particular frequency of brain wave can put a person into slow motion.

For those who are unaware, Parkinson's is an affliction that causes a person to gradually stiffen. The jumpiness seen in many people with Parkinson's is actually from the medication that keeps them from losing too much movement too quickly. Thus the more they learn from these experiments, the closer they may get to finding a solution.

The side-effect of this research, of course, is that they may also end up figuring out how to cause someone to temporarily freeze in place. Which I'm only interested in for entirely educational purposes, of course...

You'll Never Think Of Dragons The Same Way Again

I think everyone has at some point experienced reading or seeing something they wish they could un-see. Frequently when digging around for new transformation-related things, I come across stories or images that have such a dark tone that they're just not appealing to me...but then there are the ones with conepts that are so horrific and disturbing, I almost want to remove my brain, lather it up with soap and water, and carefully scrub the idea completely out of my head.

Being that it's just a few days after Halloween, I thought it would perhaps be fitting to share with you one such tale, in the tradition of scary stories. (And also, so you can share my pain. ;-))

This is a short illustrated sequence by Ian Samson called "DragonHeart." Warning: may leave you feeling slightly disturbed.

Highlight Of The Night

Went to a Halloween play party last night at a hotel. I was walking through the hall toward the event space wearing in regular non-costume clothes, but with my Sexy Boots on over my jeans, when I pass by a mother and her very young daughter dressed up as a fairy, walking in the opposite direction. I politely smile, and as I pass I hear the little girl behind me exclaim excitedly to her mom in a half-whisper, "did you see her boots?!?"

And another future fetishist is born. ;-)

Disrespectoids

There are a few characters who haven't yet had their own commercial, but I'm hoping that's only a temporary thing, because I'm kind of curious to see one for Handlebar Harry. ;-)

Attack Of The Werechairs

After seeing an unfinished chair curse by Vexation in SL, Bastian and I started discussing the idea of werechairs and trying to brainstorm exactly how the curse would be passed on. I don't think we ever came to a definitive conclusion there, but he was inspired to do a few sketches of the idea.

Apparently turning into a chair tickles a little.

And Erica isn't quite sure whether or not a werechair is safe to sit in. I think you can tell from my expression that I'm surely not planning to say anything.

Merchants Of SL: Mech Toys

Many of the items sold at the Mech store (landmark) are collaborations between Mech, Rygel/Lustbaby, and Kafcorp. I was originally going to cover all three merchants at once here, but there's just too much stuff for a single entry. So this will be focusing on just the items that are considered primarly Mech products.

Right now, I'm really digging the "Dollystation." You know how I love console transformations. It even has a CD tray that opens up when you press it! Also, clicking the dual analog stick on my head activates "pleasure implants" that sound like a controller vibrating...except it's coming from my head. DualShock indeed.

If you want to be even more interactive, there's a set of colored buttons you can wear that make different sounds when people press them. The only downside is that they're so brightly colored and cover up the nice button design underneath, and the sounds are a little more Atari than Playstation.

There are also many other pieces included that you don't see here. The set includes many different pieces that can be mix and matched to customize your Dollystation a little. Different torso and leg designs, additional prop pieces such as shoulder pads and things. This is on top of whatever hair and skin you decide to pair with it from elsewhere.

(The white plastic skin above is by dreampaint, whose idea it was to add white plastic hair and skin, and glowing eyes to the mix.)

Also at the store are doll joint designs. Below is the first design. I liked the attempt at trying to simulate hip ball joints.

The doll joint designs are actually packaged as clothing layers rather than as an actual skin, the idea being to allow you to lay them over your favorite skin. You don't want to wear all the layers at one time, as they're actually meant to be mixed and matched...identical layers are available as different types of clothing in order to allow you to mix and match. There are also subtle variations of many of the layers. This was slightly intimidating at first, having to go through every piece to see what was there...but once you figure out what's what, it's easy to set up your preferred set of layers.

Above is a newer joint design, being shown off with help from the Puppet Controller. Where other puppet controls in SL are meant to look like they're being suspended above you by magical means, this one is unique in that it's more of a piece of sci-fi technology.

The device lets anyone around you take control of you like a puppet. When someone touches the controls they are given a menu that allows them to force you into poses or move you around. The moment they open the menu, you are no longer able to walk anywhere, only they can move you forward or backward by pressing the appropriate buttons. They can also move you left or right, though in a rather clunky manner, or so I'm told. But then, have you ever tried working a real puppet? They're kinda difficult to get the hang of. ;-)

However, you are still able to pivot left or right. Thus if you want, you can try and thwart the intentions of whoever's moving you about...though the result I've found is usually you being run into walls. ;-P

And let me tell you, standing around having a conversation with people while having this thing floating above your head makes you a pretty tempting toy. Face it, if you were chatting with a puppet, would you not be maybe just a little tempted to grab at the control for a moment? ;-)

The one thing that I think looks out of place, given the hi-tech design, are the ropes that extend down (to wrist cuffs, though I've set those to invisible to get the whole attached-to-strings look). In a way, I think it actually looks better when the ropes are invisible as well, making it look like this alien device forebodingly hovering over your head, controlling your movements.

Also available at the store are a number of themed outfits to dress your dolly in. Cheerleader dolly, ponygirl dolly, mermaid dolly...even a superhero dolly (including utility belt that appears to be holding little doll-sized brushes, lipstick, etc.).

You've got to see the display poster, it's adorable:

Afraid that's all for now, need to get some sleep.

Merchants Of SL: HybridZ

HybridZ (landmark) is where to go if you enjoy your transformations mixed with the aesthetic of shiny latex. Latex petplay, latex human balloon, latex ponygirl, even a latex Giger alien. But my current favorite is probably the latex mermaid.

(Fish tank sold separately.)

While I'm just modeling the basic tail here, you actually get all sorts of extras and things for your L$800. A long mermaid hair is included in three different colors, starfish and shells to use as "pasties," some decorative ribbons for your arms, a giant display shell to lay in, and even a full latex hood if that's the sort of mermaid you want to be. It also includes a shell necklace that acts as an RLV collar, with features such as "freeze," "gag," "isolate," "block TP," and some sort of breath-related function that I don't entirely understand.

I also discovered accidentally that wearing certain skins while in the mermaid shape can create interesting alternate looks.

Vacuum Cube

A week and a half ago there was a workshop/demo on the topic of latex, hosted by several key latex fetishists in the community, including the wonderful/intimidating Amanda Wildefyre. The description for the event also mentioned there would be a vacuum cube available, "for those who dare to try it." Oh, I dare!

The workshop was fantastic, and I learned all sorts of interesting things. For example, an inflatable armless latex jacket was demonstrated on one of the presenters. When I'd seen photos of these, I always thought the idea was silly..."so they're not able to use their arms, but they can still move them around inside this sort of balloon type thing their torso is encased in? No, it turns out the jacket has two layers of latex, the outer layer, and then an inner layer that says in contact with the person's skin. So when you inflate it, the outer layer expands, but the inner layer also expands a bit, making things all firm and cozy.

Additionally interesting, they demonstrated that if you touch a vibrator to the outside of the jacket, the person inside can feel the vibrations throughout the entire jacket. The presenter inside the jacket noted that, contrary to what you'd think would be the case, the vibrations are actually stronger when the vibrator is touched to an area where there is more air between the inner and outer layers of the jacket, rather than less.

Then she started getting a little distracted, and was having trouble adding much in the way of additional thoughts. ;-) Unfortunately from the angle I was sitting I couldn't see the expression on her face, but it sounded like she was enjoying herself. Amanda Wildefyre continued to talk about the jacket, while holding the vibrator in one of her hands all nonchalant, humorously pretending to ignore the noises the woman was making. Looked like fun, lol.

On an amusing but slightly awkward note: when I went to use the one-person rest room, I encountered an interesting surprise resulting from people using the room to change into latex outfits. I touched the door handle, and it was slippery with lube. Then I sit down on the seat, and it's slippery with lube. Oh my. o_O

Towards the end of the presentation, they decided to demonstrate several things they'd brought at once. On one side of the room was the vac cube, of course. On the other side, one of the other presenters was being transformed into a rubberdoll. The rubberdoll mask was very interesting. This particular one was very rigid, almost like a posture collar and hood in one. I guess when tightened, the feeling of the rubber pressing up against your face everywhere gives the effect that your skin has been melded with the rubber. Which would be pretty hot, feeling that and then looking in the mirror and seeing this (erotically) humiliating doll face looking back at you. I'm kind of bummed so many doll masks look...not as attractive as I'd like. I think the best would be a mask like that but resembles the head of a Barbie doll. That'd be fantastic.

But I know what you really want to hear about is the vac cube.

When the crowd was asked who wanted to try the vac cube, it may surprise you that my hand was not the first one up. Something like three other hands shot up lightening-fast before I could get mine up. So I was not the first called on. ;-)

I got up and moved to an empty chair on the other end of the room where the vac cube was, to get a better view while I watched this one guy try it out first. Unfortunately, it took a little bit before they got it working...some sort of trouble with the vacuum or the seal or something. At some point there was some nervousness that nobody might get to try it out after all. Thankfully, they did get it working eventually. What was interesting was when the guy got out after being in there for 5-10 minutes (I wasn't really keeping track of time), he had these marks on him. I wasn't even paying attention until someone mentioned to him that he had an interesting symmetrical pattern of "hickey marks." Apparently the suction created where two sheets of latex meet on your skin creates this odd mark.

The guy before me had stripped down to his underwear before getting in, which made me wonder if clothes were allowed? I was comfortable taking off my shirt, but didn't really feel like taking of my jeans (mainly because, well, I've been lazy and haven't shaved my legs at all this month, so I was feeling a little self-conscious. I know, right?). When I got to try out that vac bed a few years back, everyone who tried it remained fully clothed, so I was almost expecting that to be the case here as well. But it was interesting being able to feel the latex on my upper body at least.

The best part of the vac cube, of course, is the immobility. There's only one position you can really take in a vac cube like this, which is kneeling on all fours. There's a hole on one end for you to stick your head out of, and then the vacuum is turned on and your body is "frozen" in that position. I was able to move around a little, but really only enough to wiggle. I could move as far as the rubber would stretch to allow, and then go back to default position when I relaxed my muscles.

I'm not sure how long I was in there because I wasn't really keeping track of time. I want to say it was only five minutes. Possibly as long as ten minutes, but I'm not so sure. There was no play (though the experience got me even more desiring to do so someday), but I did get to feel what it was like when a vibrator touched the latex. It was not even touching me, just a section of the latex right in front of me. I could feel the vibrations everywhere, though mainly in my arms and chest...the vibrations were very faint elsewhere.

Upon getting out of the vac cube, someone behind me mentioned I now had some of those symmetrical marks as well. You might think it funny, but I'd completely forgotten about them until then. Inside the bed, I'd felt no pinching or anything like that.

Incidentally, the pattern just so happens to kind of have the shape of seams. You'd think I would've made that similarity right away, but I didn't really think about it until an online friend jokingly referred to them as "dolly joints." But as you can see, they'd probably be more accurately described as "seams:"

Now, I must tell you...I've never had a hickey before. I had no idea what the properties of a hickey were. So when I woke up the next morning and these marks hadn't appeared to have faded one bit, I was a little surprised. Not freaked out or anything, just surprised that they were still so vivid. So while eating breakfast I'm all like "Google: 'hickey'...two days to a week??"

So yes, laugh if you want, but this resulted in my finding myself in the awkward situation of having to dig out the long-sleeve shirts a little early in order to hide my seams at work. Thankfully it's late enough in the year that the weather is starting to get a little chillier anyways, so it didn't appear out of the ordinary. And it did take a full week for the marks to fade, by the way, perhaps because of my sensative skin...the pics above were actually after two days had passed.

Would I give a vac cube a try again? Definitely. Just not during the summer. ;-)

Merchants Of SL: Eddie Escher Gadgets & Skins

There are so many interesting items that have been created in SL. In order to help me personally keep track of who made what and where a particular item came from, I've been thinking about blogging them here. And of course, there's the additional bonus of pointing you to where you can find these things.

Since this robot skin seems to be what I default to lately, I figure I owe the merchant a plug. Thankfully, SL resident Rei Gynoid had the answer to my question of "where is this from?" The answer: Eddie Escher's Gadgets & Skins (landmark).

The base skin comes from here. But the variations I'm usually wearing with the flesh areas added are personalized custom versions created by an SL acquaintance (and I feel guilty that I can't remember which one -- if it was you, feel free to remind me). As such, these ones are not for sale.

However, if you have a favorite flesh skin you'd like to combine with a metal one like this, there is a trick for the more advanced users. You could rip the texture (which I think is okay as long as you're not reselling them), and turn the skin into different bits of clothing. The clothing could then be layered over the robot skin in whatever combination you like. Maybe even an entire suit, if you want to be a robot disguised as a human. (And if you end up in an RLV machine that does the "removes your clothes" thing, you can surprise people when you're suddenly metallic instead.)

Although you don't have to be a metallic robot, either. The shop offers several variations, including white plastic and clear plastic.

I'm not going to lie to you, these three skins are pricey. At least by today's standards...maybe prices used to run higher several years ago, I don't know. But nowadays you can find many equally-fantastic skins out there for less than half the price (see TC Chrome Goddess).

For half the cost, there are also simplified, colored-chrome versions. Those of you who like shiny pink things may even prefer this one.

All I can figure is that maybe because you get two skins in the pack, the price on everything is doubled. Which is a little silly because most people are likely just going to use one and never use the other. And you can't buy them separately. But what can you do? Admittedly, they are very well done skins.

9/26/09 - Barn Party

This play party was unique for me, aside from just taking place in a barn, in that it was the first play party where I've actually been played with. I was tied up at a previous party, but there was no play, just chilling out while bound. This time there was play, and it was kinda different having an audience, it was pretty fun.

I arrived in plain clothes, partly because I knew driving in my knew boots would not be very realistic, and also because I wasn't actually sure what I felt like wearing exactly, or if I'd feel like wearing anything fetish at all. I brought a bag with me that had the black outfit, and the ragdoll and silver zentai outfits from awhile back.

The barn contained various rigs to tie people to for scene-ing. The most interesting-looking was a suspension rig hanging from the ceiling. It looked like an oversize trapeze, a large triangle that cuffs could be fixed to, attached to a pulley at the ceiling allowing the height to be adjustable. Several of us tried out swinging on it a little. A friend pointed also out to me a ladder that went to a second level area without walls, that he thinks would be perfect for a puppet scene if some pullies and things were set up over there. Perhaps at another barn party we'll figure out how to make that happen.

After chit-chatting and hanging out for several hours, I was starting to feel a little more comfortable and at ease (social gatherings always make me a little nervous), and decided I'd give the outfit with the new boots a go. When I mentioned I'd brought a corset I was thinking of wearing, two girls I'd been chatting with both offered to help tighten it for me.

I was kind of unsure if the boots were going to work in this setting. If the heels were more pointy, walking around on hay and uneven ground wouldn't have worked the greatest. But these heels are a bit chunky, so I decided to give it a try. Not only was the hay alright (other than this one potential trip spot that was hidden under the hay, but I luckily discovered before even putting the boots on), but I even managed to walk fine on the uneven dirt ground outside. One girl commented she couldn't get how I could walk so easily on this ground outside...I'm not entirely sure myself.

What I wasn't expecting was all the attention my shiny outfit got. I guess I didn't really think about it until I'd stepped out of the little dressing room, but not many people were wearing things in this sort of style. People were generally either wearing plain clothes, or less clothes. One girl had a very cool chainmail top that I thought was great. But I kinda stood out, I guess. It wasn't really what I was trying for -- I was really just looking for an excuse to wear the sort of fetish clothing I'm into -- but I suppose I didn't mind the attention, heh.

As I mentioned in that previous entry about the boots, it at times felt like all eyes were on me anytime I'd do something as minor as walk to the snack table to get more water or blow my nose, which made me feel a little bit like a walking object (in a fun, consensual way). At one point I needed to grab something from my bag, and rather than walk all the way around the line of corn bails we were using as seats in these boots, I decided to reach over an empty spot to get to the bag, sort of leaning over a bale while kneeling. I didn't really realize the view of my shiny rump I was giving to the people next to me, until I heard them commenting "oh yes, this is nice" and "yeah, so I'll probably say something dumb, so I'm just going to stop talking." I'm not sure if I was noticeably blushing.

I'm not always the most decisive, so it wasn't until very near the end of the night that I mentioned to one girl who I was pretty sure was interested in tying me up, that I wouldn't mind doing a scene, if she wanted. She'd brought saran wrap, and some different items to use for sensation play. A couple of these items were floggers, but of a lighter variety. One of them was a flogger that looked like it was just a group of thin string-like rope. Being "hit" with it felt lighter than even being hit by a pillow.

For the record, light flogging isn't a hard limit for me. Anytime someone who wants to play asks how I feel about floggers, I say that I don't mind it as long as it remains light and more massage-like, but it also does pretty much nothing for me on a kinky level. It's one of those things I allow partly out of this worry I sometimes have that the top might get bored. No toy wants you to get bored with it. ;-)

So, the scene went like this. I'm trying to keep it short, because I have a tendency to ramble on at times. My wrists were cuffed in suspension cuffs, which were attached to the oversize trapeze I mentioned earlier. I was tempted for them to adjust the height to wear i'd be just slightly unable to touch the ground, but then I realized all the weight would be on my wrists and I'd get tired too soon. So it was adjusted to where I could rest my feet on the ground somewhat, or could be off the ground depending on how I angled my ankles.

The suspension rig was especially nice for saran wrap bondage. One of the worries whenever saran wrap bondage is done is making sure the person doesn't fall over once they have lost a certain degree of mobility, since you generally need them standing while you wrap. Because my arms were over my head, the couldn't exactly be mummified with the rest of my body, but I did get wrapped up to my armpits. A towel was place over my chest and wrapped over, making it easier to cut a hole there for later access. Since I couldn't exactly hold the towel in place myself while it was wrapped, it was held by the girl who helped tighten my corset earlier, who was also helping out with the scene.

I can't really tell you about what all was done to me, because I was blindfolded. My entire face was covered with vet wrap, with cotton balls over my eyes so I couldn't see through it, as well as over my ears. It didn't completely block sound, but it did muffle it quite a bit. It probably helped relax me, too, that I couldn't actually hear many of the comments from the people watching, I could only hear the "dungeon music," and whatever was being said by someone standing next to me.

While wrapping, there were some funny moments once I no longer had full mobility, where the process of wrapping me was causing me to spin with it. The pulley at the ceiling isn't currently meant to be spun like that, so after spinning almost 360 degrees in one direction, they stopped and spun me quick the other way, then tried to keep me in place. All of this was completely out of my control, which was very amusing. I wasn't even entirely sure which way I was facing, only had a guess.

I could talk through the vet wrap, though it was a little awkward. The more I talked, the more it kind of wrapped itself around my lips, like it was going in my mouth ever so slightly (but not really inside it). Looking at pictures of the scene are funny because you can see the basic shape of my open mouth imprinted in this "mask." I'm sure it looked kind of funny/strange when I would talk.

A hole was cut into the wrap at my chest, and the towel removed (the towel is used to keep from cutting the skin, and the catsuit). The unfortunate thing about the catsuit is that it slightly mutes any sensation play items you're trying to use, and you can't use anything that might be slightly poke-y on it. And because of the corset, the zipper in the front doesn't zip down very far. This leaves the breasts as pretty much the main area of focus then. Not that I consider this a bad thing. ;-)

The girl leading the scene commented that she was loving my reactions, and how I'd kind of try to lean away even though I clearly wasn't going anywhere. The interesting thing was that the second girl would sometimes join in on the touching, and then wander off or I don't know what for awhile. So I'd be feeling just one or two hands doing things, and then at completely random times I'd suddenly feel three or four hands. It really played with my head sometimes, in a fun kind of way. There was one point in particular where I felt hands all over me, two hands rubbing my arms and shoulders while hands played with my breasts, and that was feeling very very nice.

By this point, I could barely comment intelligibly. As things progressed, I sort of slowly drifted off into la-la land, no longer entirely there. I was aware that I was wiggling about quite a bit when things were feeling particularly good. I can only imagine how it looked to the people watching. But by this point, I was no longer there enough to really care. My internal monologue had shut down to the point where the only thoughts that were registering were "ooo, that feels nice" or "oh, that doesn't feel so nice."

And not everything felt nice, as it happens. She tried a little flogging, which was okay, but seemed to notice it wasn't really getting any reaction from me. She also asked permission of she could try kneeing me in the butt, lol, I guess like a variation of spanking. But spanking likewise doesn't really do anything for me, and her knee actually hurt more than I was expecting it to. It wasn't super painful or anything, but it was more than I was comfortable with. Didn't really dig that part.

About the only thing I'm into that could be placed in the category of "S&M" would be light nipple torture. Though I prefer it to remain fairly light. Perhaps you'd call it nipple frustration, lol. But there gets to be a point where they've had too much torture, and then no variety of touch feels fun anymore. And at the very end of the scene, it did get to that point unfortunately. I'm not sure if it was noticeable enough that she picked up on it, but not longer after that point she'd asked if I was ready to be done. Thing is, by this point I was off in la-la land, right? She was looking for a simple yes or no answer, but all I could mumble is I dunno. After more internal deliberation, I decided that if my nipples no longer "feel nice," it's probably best I be done.

Before she took the vet wrap off, she let me know that things were going to seem a little bright, but I still wasn't it expecting it to be *that* bright. Took a full minute or so before my eyes adjusted. Or maybe it just seemed that long. Everything sounded louder, too...having had been able to hear somewhat, I hadn't really realized until that moment just how muffled the sound around me had been. I also recall feeling a little disoriented until I had been able to sit down on one of the bales...which I think I actually needed to be pointed in the direction of, heh. And I mostly just sat quietly, in contemplation, while I regained my senses.

I'm not really sure how long I was bound for. I can tell you that once I sat down, there was only a half hour until the scheduled end of the party, but no idea what time the scene started. It might've been around an hour maybe? How much more or less, I couldn't tell you. But after 30 minutes of rest (which flew by way faster than it seemed), I was feeling a lot more with it and chattative again (or about as chattative as I get).

Though I have to say, one of the biggest surprises is that my feet were not sore at all by the end of the night. Surprisingly comfortable platform heels.

GALLERY

A boot shot:

A bewb shot:

(They're not petite, they're fun size.
Dollhouse Season Two

For those who haven't been keeping up with season two of Dollhouse, I should tell you last night's episode involved a subplot where women were kidnapped and turned into forced living mannequins. Naturally, it was played up for extra creepiness in such a way that it didn't really light up the fetish fuel portion of my brain like it might've if, say, it didn't take place in some dark dungeon, and if violent death had not come into the picture.

But then, if I were playing with some of these concepts in a mainstream story, I'd probably ramp up the creepiness as well just so no one would suspect I might, say, have a fetish that could involve seeing actresses on set standing very still, looking like mannequins, and pretending they're stuck like that. Ya know.

A few lines this episode that amused me:

"He'll be an empty-headed robot walking around Hollywood. He'll be fine."

"We have names, remember that. We're human, we're not his toys."

Doesn't that last line sound like something right out of a story on LTBSA or something?

Anyways, on a totally not at all related note, it appears from the preview shown after the credits that next week we'll be getting a flashback story detailing the whole story of the evil mind control enthusiast who had Sierra turned into a doll. Have we surprised Totally Spies yet, or no?

Nor is it a Photoshop trick. Her eyes have actually been "painted" with the same silver liquid that's on her skin. (More here.)

Turns out this particular variety of silver "paint" is actually a powder that you mix with some sort of oil, and apparently if you get it in your eyes it doesn't even agitate them like other substances. The only side effect is that your eyes appear silver until the liquids in your eyes flush it out naturally. It seems you can even see through it, though it does possibly make your vision a little blurry.

But apparently not blurry enough to keep you from being able to play Mario Kart.

(Found by "Utsumi.")

SL Alert

Near the Grotto area at Doll Works, you might notice some new little pedestal displaying a few vials of green liquid. I'd advise you to just ignore it. I grabbed a vial thinking it'd be some sort of *fun* transformation, but instead it just turns you into a zombie, and won't unlock you until you've run in 20 people (have you *ever* seen 20 people on DW at one time? I haven't). A nine on K-8's lameness scale.

If you've got $4,000-6,000 to burn, you can now own the Galatea-style Stewardess robot suit built for Bicentennial Man, currently up for auction.

But if you're wanting to wearing it, be aware that it's built for someone around 5'6 or shorter.
New SecondLife Adventures

I ran into one of those Bane creatures last week while walking around Sin Labs. Can you believe it tried to wave at me? The gall.

Last night I transformed myself into the figurehead of a small ship, and gave a ride to a party of five. Unfortunately there wasn't a lot of water around, so eventually I just took to the sky and floated above the rooftops. The ride came to a stop in someone's swimming pool.

Fetish Boots

I splurged a little. There was a play party coming up, and I wanted to wear the shiny catsuit and corset I've posted here before, but I had not suitable footwear for it. So I splurged a little and bought these buckle-y platform heel boots. (Anything over $40 I tend to call a "splurge," while anything over $100 I call "out of my price range.")

Only thing I was worried about is that the extra height it gave me would leave everyone too intimidated to, y'know, tie me up or anything. Thankfully that wasn't the case (I did get tied up, I'll talk about it more later), and actually I was really surprised by how much attention I got from my outfit. A lot more comments and compliments than I was expecting, and people asking to touch it. And exchanges like me announcing to the people I'm chatting with that I'm going to grab something from the snack table across the room quickly, and hearing in return "okay, we're just going to watch from here." I felt very objectified (in a good way). ;-)

Here's a pic of the boots with the outfit. I'll try to get a better angle of it later, but the barn the party was in makes for an interesting contrast in the background I think.
