Thirteen of us, from Aylesbury/Bracknell/Croydon/Nottingham and similar places, have been to see a play in Abingdon. It was mostly about pie.
Afterwards we went to a pub/restaurant and had a big dinner.
It was a good day.

Yesterday, I did 1,031 words on the story that was, previously, titled "Teratophobia." Now, thanks to
cliff52, it will be titled "Sanderlings," as he pointed out what a nice title that would make, not even knowing how well the title fits this story. It had not occurred to me until his comment to yesterday's entry.
Not a whole lot else to say about yesterday. It was cloudy, then sunny, then cloudy, then sunny. That sort of day. It's chilly here in Providence (sunny today), but nowhere near as cold as this time last year. I signed books for eBay customers, and Spooky went to the post office. We shared a marvelous corned beef and cole-slaw sandwich for lunch (which I only occasionally eat). While I read, she got Chinese takeout for our dinner. Later, we watched Fight Club again, which was, not inappropriately, the first movie we ever saw together at the theatre. And that was a decade ago, which just fucking astounds me. Anyway, I got to bed about 2:30 a.m., and slept until 11:30, something like nine hours (!!!), the most I've slept at a stretch in..well...a very long time, and I did it without Ambien.
And now, here's a third set of photos from our trip to Green Hill on Wednesday. This one I call, "In the Bunker":

I am working on assembling a corsetry FAQ for my web site, intended to include answers to questions that don't require an entire article of their own. So far the list is short, but I know there have to be a ton of short-answer questions out there. At the moment I am most interested in answering questions a customer might have, but I welcome any potential question remotely involving corsets, be they info a newbie would want, or more informative to someone with corset experience.
If it's a question I can't answer, or if the answer is too involved for the FAQ, I will still write it down for further research and a potential longer article later. I'm enjoying writing articles for Fashion Students Online and for my own web site, and as I write more articles I would like them to reflect information readers want and need.
I also just wrote an article on corset care and cleaning. Yesterday I received a few suggestions for things to add, and I was wondering if the community would be interested in a post here after I have updated the article.
( The Current FAQ )
Thanks for your input! :)

Dear Brain,
Okay, yes, the idea of a techno-druid trucker driving a strange plant/big rig hybrid has always been part of the plan. And yes, it is fun to write a stoner hippie Han Solo, with his entire ship taking the place of Chewie.
But having him turn out to be Al Gore??
But you know, whatever. Get me to 34,000 words by the end of the weekend and he can be Barney the Dinosaur for all I care.

Yesterday, I managed to do 1,107 words on "Teratophobia," though the story seems to be going somewhere I'd not expected, and so I'm thinking it may have to be retitled.
And I have some other news, which isn't exactly huge news, but is fairly cool. However, I do not think I am yet at liberty to relay it. Maybe in the next day or two, once my agent says I can.
Mostly, I'm sort of working overtime to stave off a crushing sense of dread, as I contemplate what December and January are going to be like:
December:
* Begin Blood Oranges (working title)
* Write short story for Robert Silverberg tribute anthology (Subterranean Press)
* Write and produce Sirenia Digest #49
January:
* Continue Blood Oranges (working title)
* Write short story for chapbook to accompany the numbered edition of The Ammonite Violin & Others
* Write and produce Sirenia Digest #50
It's daunting, even for someone as productive as I usually am. The good news is, after January, the schedule will lighten up, and I'll "only" have the new novel and Sirenia Digest to worry about.
Better too much work than no work at all.
---
My thanks to everyone who voted in last night's poll. Henceforth, I shall only refer to that Palin woman as "Caribou Barbie," whenever I have cause to speak of her in this journal.
---
Wednesday night, we watched the final two episodes of Bryan Fuller's Wonderfalls. While it has it's moments and, all in all, I enjoyed the series, Wonderfalls is definitely a distant third to Fuller's truly outstanding (and also canceled) achievements, Dead Like Me (his very best) and Pushing Daisies (his second best).
Last night, we played WoW. Shaharrazad and Suraa in the Plaguelands. Both became exalted with the Argent Dawn, though, secretly Shah despises that order, and sees the AD as a nest of rotten turncoats. Perhaps she plans to work to subvert them from the inside.
And now, seven more photos from Wednesday's trip to Green Hill. I call this one "Sanderlings Installment, with Gull Tracks":
