Welcome Message And Introduction

Hello, I am known as K-8 (aka "conscious_object"). Here I keep a fetish blog with a (skewed) sense of humor. Contained herein you will find my various random thoughts on my unique fetishes, and interesting finds culled from all over the intarweb, including art by my friends, and sometimes my own art.

Note: You do not need to have a Livejournal account in order to reply to an entry, as I have "anonymous posting" enabled. Just make sure to sign your name at the bottom, or I'll have no idea which comments are yours.

Thinking Out Loud

  • Nov. 22nd, 2009 at 5:50 PM
Y'know, I've been pondering lately if maybe I use the words "fetish" and "kink" a little too loosely on the blog here. For some people, "fetish" is a word that specifically means an object or idea that instantly gets someone very aroused. And I use it to mean that too, but I also use it much more loosely to mean an object or idea that fascinates me or tickles my brain in a way that it doesn't most "normal" people. Like just a focused interest in something. I wonder sometimes if by referring to it as fetish, some people think I'm, like, masturbating furiously to everything I post here or something. Which isn't really the case, just to be clear.

Really, I suppose in many cases, you could replace the word "fetish" in my statements with "fan of." I'm a fan of transformation, a fan of catgirls, a fan of shiny robots, etc. etc. These things can take on erotic aspects for me, but only when combined with a few of my actual fetishes/kinks, like body control.

And I was going to say one more thing, but I've totally forgotten where I was going with this. Feel free to post your own thoughts, I guess.

I'm getting so behind...now I have *two* things I need to write about here: the story behind this pic from two weeks ago, and now getting to try out a vacuum box earlier this evening.

Does This Sound Familiar?

  • Jul. 8th, 2009 at 10:43 PM
You ever come across an image that looks interesting, but you don't bother saving or bookmarking it, and then you can't remember where you saw it?

I came across this image (or series) recently of someone in a swimming pool, with their arms (and possibly legs) completely encased in some clear inflatable cast-shaped things. I'm really curious what those inflatable things are called, and where one gets them. Does this photo series sound familiar to anyone?

Completely random unrelated thing, but kind of silly and fun. Fight my Brute bot.

I'd just like to let people know that the StuckPosing Forum has returned. And thanks to some hard work from Dosman, we have all the old messages back as well.

I Don't Think That's Appropriate

  • Nov. 29th, 2008 at 11:06 AM
Lately I've been occasionally encountering this non-YouTube player on a few sites. It really annoys me, because it's an auto-playing video player. Players should not be set to auto-play...it's not only annoying, but just plain rude.

The other poorly-designed bit about the player is that it doesn't have a stop or play button. It has a "power button." So either its in auto-play mode, or you turn the "power" off. The bizarre part being, after you turn it off, it gives you this screen:

player

Ummmm...no, I don't think so.

On the other hand, I'm tempted to turn that into a new icon...

When It Comes To Bondage...

There are two types of people in the world: those who get tied up, and those who do the tying.

That's how the line goes, right? ;-)

New Layout

  • Oct. 8th, 2008 at 1:00 AM
Those of you who aren't reading this via your LJ Friends page will have already noticed, but I started playing around with the layout a little. I hadn't really looked at what was available for layout options since I first set this up around three years ago, so it was interesting to see how many new options there are.

Oh, and if anyone happens to know the name of the artist who did this robot image (it's not Sorayama), by all means please let me know. *very curious*

Writer's Block: You, the Object

Put your body in that of an inanimate object. Choose one that already exists or make one up, and then describe yourself.

Like A Pony?

  • May. 6th, 2008 at 11:42 PM
\You know there's that old song "Mony Mony," whose chorus has been frequently misheard by people as being "ride the pony?" Well, when the song came on at work the other day, I thought I heard something entirely different:

Well, you make me feel...
(backup singers:) Like a pony
So Good...
(backup singers:) Like a pony

Etc.

Anyways, something I thought at least a few people might get a kick out of. ;-)

Now What Was I Saying...?

  • Apr. 2nd, 2008 at 10:51 AM
I feel kind of odd today...as though someone managed to hack into my mainframe and rewire some things. But of course, that'd be impossible, with the security measures in place.

So anyways, I seem to have developed this new interest in needle-point porn...

So I Guess This Is It?

  • Apr. 1st, 2008 at 11:13 AM
I didn't think this day would arrive so soon, but it seems I've finally done it. After that big week last week, I've finally blogged everything there is to blog on this fetish topic. There's nothing new left to talk about. I've "won" at fetish blogging.

All these existing entries will still stick around as an archive to look through, but I guess there nothing else to do but retire the journal. Hope everyone enjoyed!

Dominant Brain?

  • Nov. 25th, 2007 at 6:26 PM
This is kind of trippy. Take a look at this (entranced?) spinning ballerina girl for a moment:

I'm sure a number of you noticed from the way you can see her nipples when she's turned to the side, that she is in fact nude...but that's not what I wanted to bring to your attention.

Rather, my question for you is: does she look like she's spinning clockwise, or counter-clockwise?

This is such a nicely-done optical illusion, and the funnest part is that it can also give you an indication of whether the right hemisphere of your brain is more dominant, or the left.

If you saw it spinning counter-clockwise, it means the left side of your brain is more dominant, which is the more logical side. If you saw it saw it spinning clockwise, it means your right brain -- the more creative side -- is more dominant.

Some of us can even see her switch direction, depending. Whenever I look at the image, she's always spinning clockwise...but I did notice after writing a quickie LJ entry this morning and then looking at it, that she was spinning counter-clockwise for a moment, before quickly switching back to clockwise. Seems my creative side is clearly the dominant one (imagine that).

What's funny/disheartening is just how many less-enlightened people out there on the net (see the reader comments), who don't understand why this optical illusions works, cry out "it's a hoax!," believing that there's a source code to the image that makes her switch direction. I guess for some its easier to believe something is a hoax than to grasp the concept that your eyes can be so easily "tricked."

If you're curious further about the brain hemispheres thing, there's also a quiz here that tries to test you on it. My results said:

Your percentage score for the right brain is 56%.
Your percentage score for the left brain is 45%.

You are more right-brained than left-brained. The right side of your brain controls the left side of your body. In addition to being known as right-brained, you are also known as a creative thinker who uses feeling and intuition to gather information. You retain this information through the use of images and patterns. You are able to visualize the "whole" picture first, and then work backwards to put the pieces together to create the "whole" picture. Your thought process can appear quite illogical and meandering. The problem-solving techniques that you use involve free association, which is often very innovative and creative. The routes taken to arrive at your conclusions are completely opposite to what a left-brained person would be accustomed. You probably find it easy to express yourself using art, dance, or music. Some occupations usually held by a right-brained person are forest ranger, athlete, beautician, actor/actress, craftsman, and artist.

A New Forum!

  • Sep. 3rd, 2007 at 9:12 PM
As a follow-up to my previous post asking about interest in a forum focusing on a general "turned into a plaything" theme, I've teamed up with Dosman of FreezeModeling.com -- who was kind enough to supply webspace and a domain he'd been holding onto -- to bring you:

StuckPosing.com

We're still in setting things up, but it's in a steady enough state now to open the doors to everyone. If you enjoy the whole genre of Mind Control and/or Transformation into mannequins, dolls, robots, or other playthings, stop in and take a look. :-)

And help us spread the word! ^_^

Forums?

  • Aug. 30th, 2007 at 5:45 PM
Awhile ago I got an email from someone who'd recently found the journal, who said:

"I've been been around three communties, Mind Control Forum, Fembot Central, and Living Mannequin forum and each hit all around this interest but not hit it entirely. (...) I believe you and Jay Petto, whom I thank you for pointing me to as I had seen those stories before and enjoyed them but lost who it was that done them till I refound it through your journal. I believe you two pretty closely hit what I've been looking for."

I was glad to find that I wasn't the only one that felt the same way about those forums, and that there doesn't seem to be a place that quite hits dead-center the combination of MC and ASFR I think could be summarized as "transformed into a plaything."

MCForum covers the MC, but isn't as much a place for the TF or ASFR things. Fembot Central seems to focus more on robots that look like people, rather than people transformed into robots. And the LM Forum is more into timestops and things where the people frozen are unaware, and aren't as into the TF side of ASFR.

The closest place I've found so far is the DollFiction Yahoo Group. The only thing that limits that particular place is that I think people assume from the title that anything posted has to be related specifically to doll TF/MC, meaning no robots, humanoid objects, or just general MC.

So my question is, are there any more of you out there with these interests, who wish there were a place that focused on the "MC/TF into a plaything" theme? If so, would you hang out/post if there were a Yahoo Group? Or only if it were a "regular" forum?

Okay, that was more than one question. But I'm curious to hear. Remember, anon posting is on, so you don't have to be a LiveJournal member (just make sure you sign your name at the bottom, or I won't know who you are!).

More YouTube Silliness

  • Apr. 27th, 2007 at 3:01 PM
So this one is more for the furries, but I admit to finding it plenty amusing (though not at all erotic, sorry ;-P). Even the title is amusing: "Trapped In A Teddybear." I just couldn't look away (though it went on a little long, at least for me).
